Paracord? What’s That?

A good friend from high school taught me how to make paracord bracelets. What in the world is that? Well, paracord is nylon cord used for many applications, originally developed by the Airborne military units. It’s extremely strong and very versatile, but you don’t need a parachute to enjoy it. You can use it to make a multitude of useful, beautiful, hand-crafted things. I’ve been making bracelets, key chains, pet collars, pet toys and other items now and simply love doing it. I can do it despite my arthritis, which is wonderful.

Here are some links to paracord resources I highly recommend:

Stormdrane’s Excellent Blog on a multitude of applications of paracord knot tying… very creative, very fun to read.

JD of Tying It All Together (TIAT) has a wonderful web page here with lots of very useful “how to do it” videos. And his books are great, too!

http://www.boredparacord.com/ I recommend this site, too. He has some creative ideas!

Check back often… as I find more resources, I’ll post them here.
